Curivault ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through the Curivault mobile app and website, why we collect it, and how it is used.
Information we collect
Account information
When you use Curivault, we create an anonymous account automatically. If you choose to sign in with Google or create an email/password account, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided by Google) to identify your account and sync your subscription status across devices.
Photos and text you submit for identification
When you photograph or upload an image, or type a description, to identify an antique or collectible, that image or text is sent to our backend and forwarded to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate an identification, value estimate, and related information. We do not use these photos for any purpose other than generating your result, and we do not sell them.
Purchase and subscription information
If you subscribe to Curivault Pro, your purchase is processed by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We receive your subscription status (active, expired, renewed) but never your full payment card details, which are handled entirely by Google Play.
Advertising identifiers
Curivault shows ads (via Google AdMob) to free-tier users. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and device information to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device's system settings.
Locally stored data
Your scan history and saved collection are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers except for the single photo or text description sent at the moment you request an identification.
How we use information
- To provide antique identification, valuation, and AI assistant features
- To authenticate your account and sync Pro subscription status
- To process subscription payments and manage renewals
- To show and measure advertising to free-tier users
- To maintain the security and reliability of the service
Data sharing
We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the app: Google Firebase (authentication), Google Gemini (AI identification), Google Play Billing and RevenueCat (subscriptions), and Google AdMob (advertising). We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data retention
Account and subscription records are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated server-side data at any time from within the app or by contacting us below.
Children's privacy
Curivault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can sign out, delete your account, or reset your advertising ID at any time from your device settings or the app's account screen.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
